Job Summary:

Applies the nursing process through observation, assessment, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care plans for assigned pediatric clients, performs nursing assessments, collaborates with nurse supervisors in all aspects of care planning, implements nursing care plans by performing a variety of routine and complex nursing procedures, evaluates nursing interventions, educates clients/ client representatives about plan of care, identifies new client problems, administers prescribed medications, performs prescribed treatments, maintains safe and clean work environment, documents observations and client care in accordance with Company policy, maintains positive Company relations with clients, conforms to Company work schedules and payroll processing policies, attends all mandatory in-service educational offerings.

Working Conditions:

Frequent work indoors at client’s location, occasional work outdoors, work location varies by assignment, duties entail some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids, flexible scheduling from one to sixteen hour staggered shifts or zero to eighty hours per week, frequent use of client charts and universal precautions equipment, occasional use and handling of supplies/equipment based on client needs.

Qualifications:

Current Hawaii Registered Nurse License, nursing program graduate, CPR training (Basic Lifesaver Level), minimum one year pediatric experience, ability to stand continuously for up to two-hour periods, full range of body motion including lifting and handling clients and equipment, manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination, vision and auditory acuity to normal range, ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds, ability to push/pull weight up to 250 pounds, Tuberculosis Clearance, attention to detail, alertness, strong use of judgment, ability to work independently with little direct supervision, self-motivation and resourceful in emergency situations, ability to write and comprehend verbal and written client status reports/care instructions, ability to consistently conform to Company work schedules, meets all Attention Plus Care Standards and training requirements.
